'Pilipinas, Tara na!' Tourism New Logo

This Pilipinas tourism campaign logo is not attractive. I wonder how much was spent for creating this logo and why the DOT did not come out with a contest instead of just hiring someone who created a design that is not appealing at all. We have lots of graphic artists that could create tourism logo more attractive than this.

I agree that they should've used a slogan in English --- unless they're targeting Pinoys abroad and encouraging them to come back to the Philippines. Otherwise I don't see how foreigners can understand the slogan without the aid of an interpreter.

Local tourism is economy-driven... Good compensation means local tourism! I prefer an internationally appealing slogan because this invites foreign travelers. Their presence in here helps a lot... From the transpo sector and services down to sari-sari businesses. SO WHY NOT INVITE THEM ALL with an internationally appealing slogan rather than posting a tagalog one which has very limited in aspect comprehension worldwide.
  • "Wow Philippines" created a huge impact not just to the locals but also to the guests by finding out the country's surprises as they tour.
  • "Biyahe Tayo" created a very home-y approach to travel and discover and rediscover the Philippines.
  • "Pilipinas, Tara Na" proposes an easy-going, empty-thinking, and adventure-less roaming. Amplified by the kiddie logo, nothing was emphasized. C'mon, DOT, you could be better than that.

Suggest to change ay sana magawa :)

Seriously.

Bad experience yun for him.
