Did Senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto III do it again?

"Oops he did it again..." What's next? I can't wait for his response and alibi for this matter on TV, It's too embarrassing not only to himself but also from where he is standing as a SENATOR. So stupid, Artist-Politics?

Sotto is the perfect example of why PH needs the RH Bill. Stupid people should be prevented from reproducing.

This man deserves a seat.... in the school, not in Senate. A Senator who cannot construct his own sentence, can never construct a good law because it never came out from the flow of his heart and not from the knowledge of his own mind.

Yahoo! Southeast Asia posts the same comparison below:

Kennedy's speech:
"Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."

Sotto's speech:
"Tuwing naninindigan tayo para sa isang paniniwala, tuwing kumikilos tayo para mapabuti ang buhay ng iba, tuwing nilalabanan natin ang kawalan ng katarungan, nakalilikha tayo ng maliliit na galaw. Kapag nagkasama-sama ang mumunting galaw na mga ito, bubuo ito ng isang malakas na puwersang kayang magpabagsak maging ng pinakamatatag na dingding ng opresyon."

When you're making a speech you can actually quote words from famous people so i didnt see what sotto did wrong as long as he mention the person who originally said that.

Give Our New Chief Justice a Chance

Ma. Lourdes Sereno

Malacanang said Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno must be given a chance to perform her duties as her appointment has received positive feedback from various sectors anyway.

I listened from TV the taped short talk of CJ Sereno during the flag raising ceremony. I can sense that she was begging sympathy from her subordinates. This means she is uncomfortable and seemingly insecured. She must earn first their sympathies and not to expect immediate response. Her leadership can sway their hostilities.

Looking at what is happening in the Judiciary in the last few days, I do not forsee any possitive that will happen in the very near future. Sereno's first day in office as CJ seems to be a clear indication that she does'nt have a tight grip over the seven magistrates who have not attended her first flag raising ceremony and her speech during that event.

Cyber-bullying against Senator Sotto

Sotto: I'm the first Senator to be cyber-bullied.

This is what we get a disservice to all Filipinos a COMEDIAN, SCRIPTED actor pretending to be a Senator. He has no business being a politician. This is what Filipinos get if they kept voting for a SHOWBIZ PERSONALITIES. May this be a lesson.... This type of people are not doing a service to the country. They are merely taking up space in the Senate for those people who are more qualified and spent years in school. We need people who are educated, trustworthy, has morality in politics not just a good heart.

and yes... this type of people are expected to write laws. what do they have to offer on the table to be a Senator other than kept committing PLAGIARISM LIKE Sotto. I have no respect for him.

You were "bullied" not because of your stand in the RH Bill, instead of apologizing, you justify your shortcomings with lame excuses. The Philippine Senators are then unethical because plagiarism is rampant and accepted? Is this too hard for you to understand? There is nothing "legalish" about it. Have some decency and apologize.

Senator Sotto, you are a real piece of work!! If what you did is not plagiarism then I don't know what is! If some or most of the comments are too harsh on you it's because you wouldn't admit what you did is wrong. Maybe if you had apologized and admitted right there and then that what you did was not right, maybe you wouldn't be cyber-bullied.

He was the first senator to ever be a victim of cyber-bullying... more like he was the first senator to plagiarize a blogger's work.

You are a Senator. Crime or not; to commit plagiarism is not an option for a person in your status. If you cannot create an idea thought-assembled by your own rationality - as of course supported by external singularities, then you do not deserve to be a senator. There is a difference between being technically credible to run for senate and being essentially deserving to become a senator.

Comedy King Dolphy passes away

CJ Corona bares $2.4 million dollar account

Chief Justice Corona claimed that he has at least $2.4 million in his four dollar accounts and claimed that he earned his deposits since his family invested in foreign exchange.
We may have our own opinion but the decision is in the hands of the senators, a judgment which may be political or probably so. I can only hope the senate will judge in favor of the Republic of the Philippines. Us Filipino people who have entrusted the country and our future to these elected officials. I hope their judgment will turn this country around and uphold the common good of the Filipino people through moral descendancy and push our nation forward.

We have to change the system of our country. Our problem is not Corona, almost entirely of them are guilty of this crime, from barangay to national level, almost everybody wants to cut their taxes and all that, and if we are going to impeach each and everyone, and get rid of the garbages, it will take 1,000 years before the country will be free from this dirt.

I truly believe these politicians are keeping a great deal of skeletons in their closets. They are, in the strongest term, leech! I'm a private individual living modestly to what my honest earning is. Consequently, I detest corruption!

If the CJ had done these accusations, he should be persecuted!

Who are the 'most corrupt' government officials?

I have here a top list of government offices/agencies with the most number of cases filed against them before the Office of the Ombudsman last year.

  • 3,852 cases were filed against Mayors in 2011.
  • 1,128 complaints for Members of the Philippine National Police.
  • 562 cases for members of the Department of Education.
  • 490 cases for The Philippine Information Agency.
  • 416 cases for Bureau of Internal Revenue.
  • 304 cases for the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
  • 177 cases for Bureau of Customs.
  • 155 cases for Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
  • 148 cases for Department of Social Welfare and Development.
  • 98 cases for Department of Justice.
  • 92 cases were filed against personnel of the Department of Finance.
  • 87 cases for Department of Health.
  • 86 cases for Department of Public Works and Highways.
  • 81 cases for Department of Agrarian Reform.
  • 57 cases for Commission on Higher Education.
  • 54 cases for Commission on Elections.
  • 48 cases for National Labor Relations Commission.
  • 47 cases for Bureau of Fire Protection.
  • 45 cases for both National Bureau of Investigation and National Economic Development Authority.

So many filed cases... but "The Office of the Ombudsman did not provide information on the status of the complaints."

Now that the ombudsman has this list of corrupt people and agencies, the better question is: what are they going to do about it, or is there something they can do about it? If not, its useless knowing about it. And this government is as useless as the past ones.

How very interesting! DEPED has the third highest incidence of graft cases filed against its employees and to think that DEPED has the biggest annual budget and has lots of grants and joint ventures with big firms supporting it with donations, scholarship grants, teacher-training sponsorship programs, etc. A veritable milking cow.

LGU's are no. 1? No surprise is there.

All the names of corrupt officials should be listed and posted online publicly, starting from the Sangguniang kabataan (yes they start this early), Barangay officials, etc. up to the top most positions in the Government. This kind of information will make the corruption err, i mean government more transparent.

Well, there goes our tax money, my fellow citizens!

Sony Xperia Sola a magical smartphone

So many are so insecure about their phone that they even post what their vehicles are...

Anyway, this is a great innovation. Might be useless to some, but hey we are one step closer to interactive holograms.

Buying an Apple device with confidence

Each iOS device packs in so many great features that it can be tough to know which is perfect for you. This guide will help you to buy with confidence.

The iPod touch is the cheapest full-iOS device and boasts many iPhone 4 features at a fraction of the price. It's got the sharp Retina display, fast A4 processor, FaceTime video calling, can record HD video, and connects to Wi-Fi networks. For web browsing, listening to music and shooting video, it's on a par with the iPhone 4.

However, the iPod touch won't connect you direct to a mobile network. This means you can't make a regular calls and can only access the web over Wi-Fi. But once you've bought an iPod touch, there's no contract or regular top-ups to pay for at all. And by using apps such as Skype, you can still make calls over Wifi.

Kate Middleton named as Britain's best dressed

Just days after being named as Britain's best dressed ahead of Kate Moss and Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine, Kate certainly stayed true to form with the statement piece.

Kate is remarkable, I think she is good for William and like Diana in some ways but also stronger and more mature than Diana was when she became such an Icon. I love to see them, wish them well but am glad they have some space between us and their REAL LIVES as I think the media had too much of Diana, she deserved better. Charles and the entire family failed Diana, in neutering her to her maturity, I think that is the difference between Diana and Kate as William having seen this will be more supportive and aware of the dangers.

Do you have Christmas Stocking Fillers?

A month to go once again before Christmas for Christians and sooner or later people are going to face the fact and accept that they are going to have to face the inevitable and that is Christmas shopping.

One of the famous things that I can find on every house during Christmas eve is Stocking Fillers. These are empty sock that children hang on Christmas trees and sometimes outside the door so that Santa Claus (or Father Christmas) can fill it with small toys, coins, fruit, candy or other small gifts when he arrives.

These kids will definitely look for their stockings in the morning to find exciting presents for them. And these will make them so much fun and making the occasion more merrier.

Have you try one of those for you kids?

The world's most expensive gadget

An iPad customised with gold, diamonds and shavings of Tyrannosaurus rex bone has been billed as the world's most expensive gadget.

The £5m device is being promoted by British luxury goods specialist Stuart Hughes. The iPad 2 is encrusted with 12.5-carat diamonds and has 53 separate gems forming the iconic Apple logo. The back section has been formed in 24-carat gold and weighs two kilogrammes. But the most expensive part is actually the main front frame which is made from the oldest rock the world has to offer - Ammolite.

Our Clocks go back one hour tonight

I need to change my time the minute following 12:59am tomorrow (Sunday, 30 October 2011) morning will be 12:00 midnight. For the second time tomorrow.

That’s because, across Europe, we put our clocks back by one hour ‘tonight’ to welcome back Greenwich Mean Time.

Why do the clocks change?

The website of Woodlands Junior School in Kent explains:

They've been changing the clocks forwards and backwards in the UK since 1916. It’s all to do with saving the hours of daylight, and was started by a man called William Willett, a London builder, who lived in Petts Wood in Kent (near our school).

UK Travel advisory on Philippine holidays

The United Kingdom urged its residents to practice sensible precautions on its travel advisory.

Even though there are travel advisories such like this of UK then I ask how come that there are many foreigners aside from having a vacation here, they prefer to have their retirements here. violence is everywhere, it's a normal world we have.

Many foreigners living in our country can attest that they enjoy the protection and assistance of no less than their neighbors. Our crime rate is not even a tenth of that of New York, USA. It is just a matter of coordinating with the proper authorities to live safely and securely.

Destabilization plot may be possible

Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV said there may be plans to overthrow the Aquino administration due to alleged restlessness in the military.

For once, I would very much appreciate it if the likes of Sen. Trillanes would keep their mouth shut and avoid conveying irresponsible statements to the public.

Obviously, he is inciting a military destabilization, and in this dire situation of our country, a coup is the least that we need, much less people like him. It does not help in any way or form to try taking advantage of our demoralized forces due to the loss they suffered recently to overthrow yet another president while the insurgents are spreading havoc in Mindanao.

2 Drivers arrested in Chinese girl's death

Two drivers suspected of running over a toddler who died a week after she was struck on a busy market street in southern China and was ignored by passers-by was formally arrested by the Police.

The only reason these two men were hunted down and arrested is probably due to the fact that China is on the world stage, under the spotlights, and everyone is aware of what happened to this child and watching to see the actions taken by the Chinese Government. If this horrible event was not broadcast I expect it would have been swept under the rug as this was only a female and not a male child.

RIP Yue Yue - China toddler 'hit and run'

Yue Yue, a Chinese toddler who was ignored by 18 passers-by as she lay critically injured in the street after being run over by two vehicles has died.

My heart is broken for you Yue Yue... May you rest in peace with the Lord. I hope this would serve as an eye opener to the Chinese government. Chinese are human not monsters so please act according to what you are. I hope that driver will feel the guilt that he could not sleep his whole life. He destroyed Yue yue's precious future and that's very heart breaking to the parents heart.

This poor little girl is not my child but the moment I heard such bad news and seen the video, I couldn't get over of the pain until now. I feel so really bad! My heart just can't stand the pain.
