My Journey Going to UK

There was a time I went in Davao City when I read the sign board FIL2BRIT Consultancy Services, Study and Earn in UK. I feel very curious, I want to visit that office but that time I am on a bus going back to my province so i just save their contact number.

Finally when I got back to work at the office, I contact the number immediately and I spoke to one of their staff. He said, there will be a British Assessor arrive day after tomorrow and hopefully I could come and be assessed if I am qualified. All I have to do is to bring my CV and a P20,000.00 assessment fee, he said that the assessment fee will back to me if ever I could not pass the assessment and if ever I could pass it would be a commitment to me to continue the process.

The day has come and I was assessed by 3 British men and one of them is Mr. Adrian Park and the owner of FIL2BRIT Davao Branch Mr. Steve Philips. Yes, I passed the assessment and my next step is to pay the remaining balances and my papers are on process that time. To make this short, I received all the papers necessary to apply for a Student Visa and paid the FIL2BRIT in full.

Unfortunately, I was refused twice by the British Embassy in Manila, I almost give up but I didn't because I spend a lot of money and I have also left my job. So I pursue hoping that the embassy will grant me a visa, I pray hard and it was success! Yes, I was granted a visa after all during Ramadhan. I was very happy that moment so I pack my bag and ready to go to the United Kingdom!

So excited because this is my first time abroad and in an international plane Etihad. I had my stop over in Abu Dhabi, UAE for 5 hours and then finally going to Manchester in UK. So excited again when I finally arrived at the airport in UK, because i will meet my sister and his British husband waiting for me outside the airport.

It's nice to see the new environment and a cool breezed of wind. I feel very grateful for I have achieved my goals.

Mr. Steve Philips from FIL2BRIT arrived in UK a week after. And he said I am on his top list to find my workplacement, I am very happy because I could start a work as promised since the time I met him in Davao. Their orientation in the office is always finding a workplacement so they could attract applicants going to UK.

It's my first month in UK that he rung me and said goodbye because he will be back now in the Philippines. It was my saddest moment... he left me here in UK without a workplacement. That's a reason why I spent a lot of money to them because of a workplacement as they have promised.

To my readers please make this a lesson to all of you. Have a thorough investigation on the agency you belong like searching their name in the internet find their previous applicants situation, don't spent money while you are not sure of getting job specially when you are borrowing money with interest. I was just lucky because I have my sister here I could stay longer.

Philippine Football Team, a major development

For the first time in recent history, Filipinos are actually following their football team, a major development in a country where the three B’s – basketball, billiards, and boxing – are the only sports that garner any significant TV time. Over the long term, the Azkals’ fairytale run could spark a long-overdue renaissance in football, a sport that many believe is actually a better fit for Filipinos but that has been woefully neglected and underdeveloped.

The Philippines will now prepare for a semifinal series against powerhouse Indonesia, which is sure to be the team’s toughest assignment yet. The semifinal is a home-and-away format where each team will host one match in their home country. However, the Asean Football Federation recently announced that the Philippines had no suitable venue to host a Suzuki Cup match, and as such, the Azkals’ “home” match will have to be played in a neutral country of the Philippines’ choosing.

While this development was born out of the fact that nobody expected the Philippines to advance to the semifinals, it is also a sad reflection on the state of football in the country. It will also deny Filipinos a chance to watch the team live and provide much-needed home field advantage.

Severe weather warnings as heavy snow forecast

Warnings of sub-zero temperatures came as the big chill brought parts of the country to a standstill after the earliest widespread snow for 17 years.

London and the South East, the South West, East Midlands, Yorkshire and Humber and the north east of England have all alerted to widespread icy roads until 11am on Saturday by the Met Office.

The North East, Yorkshire and Humber, East Midlands and the South West are also braced for heavy snow.

Wales and Northern Ireland were warned to expect icy roads while Scotland was also forecast heavy snow and drifting snow as more flurries were on the way.

Even low-lying parts of the UK saw freezing temperatures on Friday, the Met Office said.

Dozens of schools were closed and many roads were impassable, and a plane from Lanzarote with 196 passengers on board overshot its landing at Newcastle airport.

Though Scotland and the north east of England once again bore the brunt of the bad weather - with dumps of up to 30cm recorded in the Highlands and North Yorkshire - snow was also drifting across Wales and the South West.

Forecasters say the cold snap was set to tighten its grip, blanketing swathes of the country in white by the middle of next week.

Capture a single snowfall

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of LG. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have had a lovely winter this morning, when I sat near my window watching the snow start falling I want to capture a single snowfall that I could share on my friends in the internet. I usually use my camera to take photos and upload it on my computer.

I’m just so glad to have LG Electronics launched the NEW LG Optimus. It’s such a great handset that allows for two to three times faster and smoother internet browsing, web-page reloading, application pop-ups and multi-tasking that is good for my email and social networkings.

The handset also feature a camera with face tracking and smile shot, a 3.2" wide HGVA makes my photo capture more lovely to upload instantly from the phone, while offering portable Wi-Fi hotspots to easily share a single 3G connection.

This is a great thing to have because I will be able to send every single photograph  to my family and friends more often this winter, I want to show them how to make a Snowman. It makes me closer to them watching every pictures I've taken.

For me it’s one of LG's best ever handsets, features fun and user-friendly interface.

It's all good.

We went to the grocery store earlier today because we don't have enough food for a week. We was hit by more heavy snow and freezing temperatures overnight, bringing chaos to roads when you drive a car so we just walk to the store for a couple of hours.

People were walking away from their abandoned cars, it was an unbelievable sight to see. The snow looks so soft and puffy, but it is frozen solid and it is very tricky to walk on because it is slippery and it will break when you least expect.

As we get closer to the store, I saw a lorry hit by a car, the snow and ice may have contributed to the accident but can not be blamed, it may sound a little harsh but i think they were driving too fast for the road conditions.

As long as it's just snowing prettily through the window, see, it's all good.
