London Bridge and the Tower Bridge
In my previous post about the Tower Bridge, I was found out that it is incorrectly referred to as London Bridge. In this post, I'm going to show you in photo the actual real London Bridge (photo above) which is just a very ordinary bridge beside the Tower Bridge.
This is my third walk on the bridge, and still one of my favorite place in London. Tower Bridge is probably London's most iconic, but it is nowhere near as old as some might imagine, designed by City architect Sir Horace Jones in 1884 and opened after his death in 1894.

First year in England
Today, is the exact day on my first step in England. I would like to share some of things happened in my life's journey in UK after 1 year. I am having my Thanksgiving Giveaways (for bloggers) in celebrating this.
I was so blessed that I have giving a chance to travel abroad and I am so grateful. I have quite a lot of post during the days that I am still new in this country. These are some of my favorite posts;

New year, new life!
I couldn't imagine that the year 2010 has ended. I had lots of stuff that I could always remember it seems very lucky for me that year, I mean most lucky.
I enjoy my life serving my family at home being as head in my own little way. I got a job in my hometown and love doing it. Lots of friends anywhere in my place including my facebook and went to other cities and stayed in Manila while processing my visa application at the British Embassy.
Most of all I was granted a visa and now living in England today. I did not wish and dream to come here since child, as I can remember my ambition before is to become a good teacher but I took Accountancy.
My life is unpredictable and full of surprising, it's not really my plan to work abroad as I just want to have a simple life with my family. I always work hard not to become a rich man, to earn for a living is just for me and help my family for our daily needs. But 'til now still don't have a savings.
This year is another chapter of my life, I want to start it with more hardwork and keep a savings for my future. As I step this year, I am hoping for all the graces which will be given, and a happy health and lifestyle.
I am excited for this year, what would be my life? Well, I am pretty sure that I am happy and I am so very grateful.

It's all good.

People were walking away from their abandoned cars, it was an unbelievable sight to see. The snow looks so soft and puffy, but it is frozen solid and it is very tricky to walk on because it is slippery and it will break when you least expect.
As we get closer to the store, I saw a lorry hit by a car, the snow and ice may have contributed to the accident but can not be blamed, it may sound a little harsh but i think they were driving too fast for the road conditions.
As long as it's just snowing prettily through the window, see, it's all good.

The first taste of the first snowfall
This morning I have awoken to massive snow scenes, there was a skiff of snow on the ground and rooftops. At last, it's started snowing. Half of the UK is covered in snow at the moment. Only small flakes though.
I wanted to go out and throw snowballs straight away but not that there was enough snow for that!
What a beautiful day in the North of England... bright, crisp and dry, just lovely. There is a slight chilliness... although i guess those who have to travel to work will not think that!
There is only one thing to do on a day like today... yes, build a Snowman, might even take a picture.

Autumn is here!

This is that time of year when the leaves turn red and gold, and there's a little chill in the air.
The scientific explanation of autumn is “the day of the year when the Sun crosses the celestial equator moving southward. This day is known as the Autumnal Equinox.”
One source explained that it's a common belief that the “earth is further from the sun in winter than in summer.” But actually, the Earth is closest to the sun in December which is winter in the Northern hemisphere.
What's the difference between fall and autumn?
Some think the difference depends on where you live in the world. For example, in the U.S., fall follows the summer season. In the U.K., autumn follows summer.
Others say that autumn is the start of a new season, when the weather cools down and leaves change color. Fall begins when the leaves have fallen to the ground and the cooler weather sets in.
The last source described autumn or fall as “one of the four seasons,” It signals the earlier arrival of night, and the change from summer into winter in September in the Northern Hemisphere, or in March in the Southern Hemisphere.
Whatever they call it, I enjoy the new season! I'm having fun picking apples, rolling around in the leaves, and a walk in the crisp air.

I am grateful

If you want more in your life, then appreciate what you've already got. Develop an Attitude of Gratitude and you'll be amazed at the blessings that enter your life.
Remember that even the smallest of things count; each grain of sand contributes something to that beautiful beach, each blade of grass, each petal of the rose makes the world more beautiful.
Learn to be thankful.

Shopping Hours

I wanted longer shopping hours and I wanted Sunday Trading.
Here, things are slightly different. During the week, shopping hours are fine, we’ve got a 24-hour supermarket called ASDA (Now a Family of Walwart) down the road from us. On top of that, most shops are open to 7 or 8pm, though that might just be a summer months thing.
Sunday on the other hand. It’s useless. Most shops are closed, and those which aren’t close at odd hours.
